Thirty seconds alone with Lenin - Part 1

TWO DAYS IN THE CENTER OF MOSCOW Lara-El, Australia Heat in Russia we are very much surprised. Not that we thought we would get a blizzard, but we somehow do not think that in Russia we need the air conditioner, and the need to constantly monitor the level of fluid in the body. In the hotel "Cosmos" We arrived this afternoon after a long move from Novgorod, and therefore the presence of air conditioners and refrigerators was seen by us with the children's delight. After quite a pleasant meal in the hotel dining room we did not know what to do, and the rest of the day spent looking out the window at the Space Museum and various monuments, as well as doing the usual traveler's pastime, washing by hand. Later we learned that while we made "heroic deeds" hand wash, a few people from our group stripped as sticky in the local night clubs, forced to pay $ 50 for a drink, which is likely to partially cover the costs of nude women that were there everywhere . St. Basil's Cathedral In our first morning in Moscow, we are in full dress - evening, we had to go to the ballet - boarded a bus and toured the city, thanks to which we have an idea about the appearance of Moscow. We glanced at the St. Basil's Cathedral and the Kremlin, and then stopped at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and the Novodevichy convent, where Peter the Great banished his sister Sophia, and where, as they say, planned to write Tchaikovsky "Swan Lake" by looking at the swans in a nearby pond . We also stopped at the lookout, which is one of the favorite places for photography of Russian brides. We have seen brides near all the attractions of Moscow, while they were posing in front of cameras, we have even seen one groom, who saddled the gun of the tank. It was somewhere between Novgorod and Moscow. Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow - both in the city and next to it - is a huge number of historical sites, especially those associated with recent history: the place where Boris Yeltsin deliver his speech, where on the outskirts of Moscow stopped the Germans during the World War II, Stalin's skyscrapers and, of course, the sights are familiar to all - the Kremlin and St Basil's Cathedral. Tatiana, our guide, a very discreet woman who told us about these and many other attractions that without it we would never even noticed. It was interesting to notice its biased attitude and what she maintained silence. She hated the mayor of Moscow, Stalin mentioned only in passing (if we had of him had never heard of, we would think that all he did was built seven famous Stalin's skyscrapers), but she admired both Putin and Lenin .
