WALK TO THE TOP OF EUROPE (continued, p.2) In the morning we woke up at 5:45, had breakfast at 7 and were ready to continue the campaign, even before the clock struck eight in the morning. Breakfast seemed enough calories. One of yogurt in the morning for me too little. I mix it with "Ovaltinom (dairy product chocolate, malt extract and milk whey, approx. Perevi.), As did the Swiss. So something has to be better. But still he was not as sweet as I wanted. Same story with flakes - too tasteless. Or I used to glazed flakes? In general, clearly not enough sugar - and that's it. Then served hot tea for free. It seemed to me that he had a medical flavor, such as happens with Chinese medicinal herbs that are brewed my mom when I was little. All stood in line to fill their flasks with tea, though it was their favorite drink. This lasted until until all the tea has not ended, and in fact gave it a relatively large capacity. The view from the room so we again stood in a bunch and continued ascent into the mountains. Why the rope at all? But did not argue, just do what we say. About an hour later we returned to the foot of the mountain, and again went on the glacier. First trail was rocky, and the cats we were not needed, but as you move the road became more slippery. We put the cat and go has become much easier. It took me a while to get used to walking with cats. We were given this cat, which covered only a third of the foot, so I could not step on the toe or heel, as the cats were in the middle. It was embarrassing. And here at the Dag cats were on the heel. They could adjust to the width of the legs. Once I got used to it, I could walk quite normally, not counting the very steep sections. Glacier surface was very uneven, and an hour later I had very tired legs, plus I rubbed my finger. While walking my leg as something very strange twisted. I even thought so, and break a leg for long. I've already started thinking about how to get the group to make a halt, but then, luckily, we got to the parking area. I decided to fix their cats, and found that they were free. Perhaps because of this they were causing me so much inconvenience. Corn Dag troubled him less, but he tried not to pay attention to it. We continued to walk on uneven hard surface of the glacier. Beautiful lake on the glacier, which from time to time, met us on the road, lifted me up, but to go increasingly difficult. Glacier Finally, we got to the last section of the route. But ahead of us waiting for one of the most serious tests for the entire campaign on. We tried to get off the glacier, not to stray from the route and turn in the required location. Huge cracks were everywhere. We went back and forth in search of a safe place to cross them. Herb has even attempted to climb the high wall of ice, cut into her ice pick stage. I followed him (second in the bunch), brushing the ice from the steps which he had just knocked out. In my heart I was restless, but nothing was done about it, we had to move on. A little later, Herb decided not to go on this road, because there the ice was unsafe. We walked on, looking for another way to cross the crack. Then we ran into a very narrow and steep ice bridge. Downstairs, under a bridge, to the bottom of the glacier ran this abyss. For a few minutes my heart sank. I was going with the spirit, knowing that Herb has already crossed the bridge and was on his other side. Herb is waiting for us we were still in the bundle. I was terribly afraid of falling into a crevasse, but still went over the bridge and crossed it. Up to this point we have already had several such moments when we had to cross through the cracks, but for me personally, this transition was the most terrible. We were greeted by goats Limb bothered Dag stronger and, eventually, he asked for a halt. Corn on the back foot looked very bad, and the heel he has another huge blister. Our friend named Heidi helped him glue silicone adhesive on the corn. The pain subsided a bit, and we continued on our way. I also did not like climbing a steep slope covered with small stones. My shoes began to show me out of balance. Shoes were so big that it was very difficult to walk. I am not saying that you have to go uphill. In general, do not even hinted. But what can you do now? We had to keep going to somehow get out of here. Climbing up, I saw goats and sheep that were grazing peacefully on the mountain. Beautiful place. Goats and sheep have taken us well, but still they were only allowed (every now and then they came close to us and sometimes make their goat's tricks). But we were able to stroke them as you like. Campaign continued at a steep trail. I looked around and saw the place from whence we came. People at the base of the mountain seemed to be no more ants. There apparently was preparing to climb another group. Beauty Herb cut slightly to the side of the valley, because Doug could no longer walk. We went through a long tunnel and found ourselves in a beautiful valley. From the landscape, which opened before us, I have literally gotten a second wind. The Valley deserve the effort and anguish that we have overcome on the way here. A wonderful change of landscape! Doug thought that our campaign will only be completed by the evening, but it turned out that all will end much sooner. We were very happy. But in order to reach the final destination of our hike, we had yet to reach the ski resort and there is a cable car to come down. And this last part of the campaign seemed to never end. I imagine I can not, as a tormented, Doug, because my shoes and gave me a lot of inconvenience. I really wanted off with his shoes and continue the path of barefoot, but probably because I had not gone on this rocky trail. Doug said he misses his tennis shoes. Oh! Wonderful idea! I also really like to see right now I would be removable shoes. I advised Doug to ask one of the locals, who hovered on the bike up and down the slope, lift it up to the base. At first he was not really warmed to the idea, but it later nevertheless agreed. But it was too late. The man on the motorcycle had disappeared. We had to continue their journey under the scorching sun with bulky boots on his feet to the place of the meeting, which we had no idea where he was, and how many before him still to go. Other members of our group is much ahead of us, and even out of sight somewhere very far ahead. We started to worry, and we thought that we lost. Sighted lift our mood has improved somewhat, but it soon turned out that it does not work. Do we choose a direction? Maybe our group somewhere turned on the road? To the foot of the mountain path was not a short, and if we had decided independently to go down into the city, the road would take us at least a day. In general, we continued to walk, barely moving his feet, until finally they reached the ski resort. There was a feeling that we have found an oasis in the desert. What a relief. We rock!
