Vanuatu: rivers, beaches, waterfalls, caves - Part 3

Ahead through the jungle (continued, part 3) We walked on. Suddenly we turned the corner and saw a big gap, through which viewed the green rainforest. It was like a picture in the book: the huge leaves of ferns, palms and other tropical plants. We went to the river, which blocks our way to the exit. Here, for once again increased, and we had to get up in the chain, because it was difficult to resist the pressure of the water. Approximately 8 meters from the current position of the surface waters were the mark of the level of a two-day statute of limitations - all the plants are still lying, weighed down by strong currents. Our lunch and the camera was moved on land, so I took pictures of only the second part of the campaign. We all wondered what would happen next. So far, everything was just fine, but here the conductors began inflating inflatable children's circles. A mysterious gap further guides showed us that we must now go to their knees in water and then lie face down on an inflatable raft down the circle and down the river, coming ashore around the bend of the channel. It was fun. Over here was fast, so it all much like a water park, only here it was all for real. Ahead has always been a conductor, which displayed when you need to turn right when the left and when to stop. We rapidly overcame this site and stopped before they began the rapids. We climbed the rocky shore, bypassed rapids and fell on inflatable wheels, so-quick to raft on. In the next segment had to swim through the tunnel into a small deep lake, but it is where the problems started. It turned out that the usual route will not be able to swim. Two conductors sailed ahead and tried to find another way, while we are floundering in the water. Finally, they pointed to the entrance to a small cave and told to swim there. Over here were strong, and it was not easy to go back to the cave. At first he had to swim through a narrow area, and then swim out. One guy over issued outside after a conductor. This tourist was not a very good swimmer to swim it did not work out, and he was stuck in a narrow place in a pile of bamboo sticks and other debris. I tried to push through a bamboo stick forward, and when I did it, too, the tourist was able to swim forward. One of the conductors did the same on the other hand, in the short time we have been able to calmly deal with this site. Lucky that the other members of the group swam better and were able to resist the tide, but otherwise we will be stuck there all along. A small but deep lake We again climbed the rocky shore, and again we started having problems. We all climbed up on a large stone, and the way we passed a very fast flowing stream, the water in which even the slightly foamed. 6 conductors spent 20 minutes on it to find my way. Later we learned that there was a staircase, but recent rains have washed off her. In the end, the conductors have chosen the most reckless French tourist and transport it through the creek. From the place where we were, it was like then, as if he disappeared into the cave and after a long time appeared on the other side. Next, we began to cross one another. Crossing each person takes a lot of time. After the regular tourist reached the opposite shore, all together applauded him. A tourist's village came my turn. In fact, it turned out that it was necessary to move through a narrow passage with swift current and steep descent. By the rock was attached a chain, and it was with it down through the rapids, and then turn left, where it was shallow and the water flowed slowly. It was scary, but if I had the opportunity to go back, I would do it again. After all crossed to the other side, we got over the hill, passed the threshold and again began to fuse. At this time the river was deep, she went through some crevice in the rock. Around the growing beautiful plants, running big crabs and noisy waterfalls. Nature was so beautiful and wild, it was hard to believe that this actually happens. At this time we have rafted quite calmly. It seems that all hazards have been left behind. Some time later, the conductors have asked us to stay on shore. We were told that the water of the trip is over and now we have to go on the trail. We looked at each other and asked: "What kind of trail?" We thought that we face overgrown with vegetation of a hill. The conductor went ahead and disappeared from sight. Not bad! The trail suddenly split in two. None of the new trails did not look like a well-trodden, so I went to one of them and came to a steep waterfall. We have already been gathered to turn back, when the conductor came somewhere above us, and whistled. That's the path! We had to climb up through a waterfall! Campaign was becoming more interesting. After overcoming a few stairs and another trail, we came to the village where it was the end of our route. I suggest you repeat this route, it is worth every penny paid (besides, we paid for it a little more than a tour of the sights of the Second World War, which we do not like). Never know when the campaign will be successful and when not to. At 5:30 we returned to the hotel. All lovers of active leisure drenched, slightly tore the clothes on the rocks, but they were very cheerful. Perhaps to emphasize the unusual nature of what is happening, destiny has sent us high chiefs. On that day in our hotel stay, Prime Minister of the Republic of Vanuatu and his entourage, police, military, all other accompanying persons and staff.
