Vanuatu: rivers, beaches, waterfalls, caves - part 2

Ahead through the jungle (continued, p.2) The information about this tour is almost not there, and we did not know what to expect. Since we decided to go to a young couple from Australia, which is held on the island honeymoon. Scenery there is just wonderful. On the broken dirt roads, we moved to the center of the island of Espiritu Santo. The driver told us that his boss is going straight for us in his van and driven by another group of tourists. Fairly quickly, our car got stuck. It is unclear how this has not happened before, but the skill of our driver and the fact that we sat in the corners of the bus, to evenly distribute the weight, probably played a role in helping us to slip through the hole. At this time we were stuck tightly. At the same moment behind us seemed van boss. The owner came out and said 3 guys who went with him to come out and help us (we also had to move to the back of the bus - for the weight). It was pretty funny to watch how those French are trying to push us out of the mud while their girlfriends started to lose his standing at a distance. All over the fact that they are smeared with mud, and we clean, died of laughing. Still, we pushed. We are moving forward, but soon again faced with almost insurmountable stretch of track. The boss told us to sit him in a van with the Frenchwoman, but they were not from this ecstatic. Girls started screaming that the car little space, and we wisely decided to go further on foot. Bamboo Bridge at the end of the day, we reached the village - this village in the dense tropical jungle. We were told about the trip, and we thought it would be interesting. I only wish that I did not know what to take with water-resistant camera. I was not like this, and nature was very beautiful. In general, we have gone through the jungle. Was such a humidity that our campaign has reminded me cacodyl route (tourist route in Papua New Guinea, ca. Perevi.). We walked through ankle-deep in mud, slipping and nearly falling, and even argued, who would fall first. Just during this campaign, we noticed an amazing thicket of hibiscus. Branches of this plant is used as a walking stick on which to rely, climbing and descending from the hills, and from them can do the stairs to overcome the toughest areas. Interestingly, even after the stick is cut at both ends and nailed together with nails, they still manage to put out. Forward! Forward! We walked about 45 minutes, then went down to the bamboo bridge and beyond to the cave. Conductors have helped us to go down, because the slope was very steep. Still, we had to wade small ponds, and even had to cross a rather deep and rapid river. The task proved to be not simple, because the current was very strong and the water is terribly cold. But we also quickly warmed up. Once we reached the cave entrance, we were given waterproof torches. The cave was very large, and constantly worn alongside flocks of swallows. There were supposed to be bats, but I have not seen a single one. We were told that we have followed the guides, shone under his feet and carefully watched, to go. Bottom of the cave was strewn with huge stones, and although there were not deep (from ankle to waist), I must be careful not to slip and injure themselves. Mostly during intensified, but the local know where to go, and warns us that we rounded the dangerous sites. It was very dark, and under our feet flowed underwater river. After a while we came to a waterfall, which is located right in the cave. At an altitude of approximately 10 meters were perfectly round hole about two feet in diameter, through which water flowed. The hole went outside and light coming through it, creating a unique sensation. Start material: Read more: See also: Exotic piece of France in the Pacific, diving, surfing, and ...
