Vanuatu: rivers, beaches, waterfalls, caves - Part 4

Ahead through the jungle (the ending, p.4) The next day a tour, during which we visited the village, looked at the traditional dances and taste the local dishes. Then we sailed on a boat up the river to a small deep lake, where you can swim and dive. This tour has not made much impression on us. In the village it was interesting, too, liked dancing, but it all seemed somehow unnatural. Tranquil lake in the guidebook, we read about a great place for a picnic. There could swim and dive, but it's not happened since was low tide. A boat trip up the river was pleasant: the water was so transparent that it seemed as if all that is in it, flying through the air. Lake has also proved remarkable. When I decided to dive and snorkelling, I was very surprised by the abundance of fish. Also, I did not expect that there will be so steep approach to the water. The depth of the river in the mostly 1-2 meters and 4-8 meters in the lake. Should be, right here in river flow into streams. But most of the day I liked to talk to Tim, our guide, he knows so much. He works hard to earn their own business. At school, Tim did not go because his parents it was too expensive. His life - a prime example of the fact that if you want you can achieve great things. He began working for a conductor in 1991 and is now quite comfortably there. Beach Lonnok The next morning we went to the beach Lonnok, which is located on the east coast of the island of Espiritu Santo, about 60 km from the hotel. We went slowly because the mud has only recently begun to harden. Very beautiful place. The infrastructure here was quite simple, but located in a very beautiful place. And the bay itself looks great. The beach was coral, but there was a special place where you can swim at high tide. We thought we were there with someone acquainted, but it turned out that the tourists, who rested here before our arrival, left the same day when we arrived. As often happens on islands, we again felt like the whole island, hotel, guide and restaurant are only in our disposal. Electricity was given only for 3 hours in the evenings. At other times, we used candles and flashlights. We just relaxed and did nothing, and occasionally diving, walking on the sand (champagne color) and, in general, no longer does anything. In the end, even the rain stopped, and several times a day show the sun. On the second day of the lunch box came our guide. He led a French couple on a trip to Port Olri and decided to ask whether we want to also go with them. Why not? New place - new experiences! Port Olri was a very pleasant place, one of the main fishing areas of islands. Tourists do not often visit here, and the beach here and attracts swim. Port Olri As a result of our stay, we can say that the Republic of Vanuatu - one of the best places for recreation, not only in Melanesia, and in all of Oceania. Especially here it will be interesting to those who love remote places seldom gone before. And we go home, tomorrow we fly back to Port Vila.
