Tanks in the city - a usual thing for the capital of Colombia - Part 2

Bogota can be proud: Not only the Host drug barons, but many good museums (continued, p.2), I stopped in a nice little otelepod name "Casa Plapipus, it opened nearly two years ago. The hotel comprises a single structure with a nearby dormitory, but the hotel has rooms and bathrooms. The only thing that I did not like is the fact that there were no heaters. It must be winter in hotel rooms terribly cold. Despite the interesting church that morning was going to rain, to noon the sun came out and I had even removed one of his sweaters. I spent the day in La Candelaria, the historic city. In this area, old houses, churches and buildings in various stages of restoration, some of which are 300 years old. All of them are bizarre and quite successfully combined with modern buildings. A local tourism center organizes walking tours twice a day, accompanied by local police, and I signed up for a morning excursion. I had no luck, because this tour was in Spanish. However, our police said distinctly and not very fast, so that one of the tourists who were with me in the group, the guy from the Basque country (he stressed that he was not from Spain), sometimes translated to me. In the evening I was alone to go the route of this tour, now I've had time to go to different museums, churches and buildings, which struck me as interesting. La Candelaria Tours start at the heart of the city, in Plaza de Bolivar. This is a large open space, which once limited the silhouettes of buildings in colonial style. Today it is framed by the Cathedral Cathedral Primada, Chapel Capilla del Saryario, Supreme Court Building Palacio de Justicia, City Hall and Levan Building Congress, Capitol Nacional. All these buildings were built at different times due to different historical events. For example, the Palacio de Justicia and his staff in 1985 were seized by armed men (there were rumors that he helped drug lord Pablo Escobar's Medellin cartel). As a result, government troops storming the building was heavily damaged and then completely rebuilt. The Cathedral was founded in 1538 and rebuilt three times. The building, which we see today was built in 1823. At the heart of this vast area in which dwells a great many doves statue of Simon Bolivar (general, one of the most prominent leaders of the War of the Spanish colonies in America, prim.perev.), In whose honor and was named the area. This statue was the first monument that was erected in the city since the beginning of its existence. It happened in 1846. Bolivar Area Start material: Completion of material:
