Roraima, The Lost World - Part 5

ADVENTURES IN "Jurassic Park" (continued, part 5) Another great place on the plateau - the valley of the crystals, where many of the crystals, if you believe the rumors, accumulate large amounts of energy. This place is really beautiful. Not far from the valley of the crystals takes one of the highest river in the world - Arabopo, and see the river so high above sea level is truly amazing. Then we come to another "hot tub" located in a cave. It was the cold bath of all that I took in my life, but I liked it. At the end of our tour, we descended deep into the cave, located not far from our "hotel". In the depths of the cave called Igor us some bacteria that live here. I have a long time did not fit in the head, as in such extreme conditions can exist in any form of life. Finally, we reached our camp, where a delicious supper and even drank a bottle of rum. Our group has come a new day, and it's time we had to leave the Roraima. Before you begin the descent, we have a farewell rose to the highest point of the array - 2810 meters. Local Indians called this summit, "House of the Devil", but she is better known as El Maverick. Rock, so named because of its similarity with the same American car, though, this similarity becomes apparent only when viewed from afar. We could choose up to us first at El Maverick, or immediately begin the descent. I already had decided to give preference to the second option, but, fortunately, Igor convinced me to climb, for which I am very grateful to him. At the top I felt like my whole body and mind are filled with incredible energy, the view was simply stunning, and I immediately noticed that my face again, tears flow. I note that I've never shed tears in vain, but then it happened twice in a week, and I do not know how to explain such strong emotions. And I can not resist them, by contrast, stood at the top, where as if he could see the whole world, and cried, and it was wonderful. Like all fleeting, this wonderful moment passed, and it was time to descend. On this day, I felt a lot of things - happiness, that I passed that test, and at the same time, I was sad that the adventure ends. I lived for almost a week away from civilization, without modern conveniences in the wilderness and in the company of good friends. What more needs to be happy? View from the top of the hill after dinner in our main camp, we had a few more hours to go under the scorching sun, but the road back seemed much easier than lifting. The last hour of our journey, when the sun was setting, I was alone, enjoying the serenity of the moment. Every time I look back, I saw Roraima, and it was very nice and amazing to think that this morning I was still on top. At sunset colors seem more profound and beautiful, and wherever I looked, I saw around just incredible, warm beauty of this amazing region.
