Photography in the Brazilian bird nursery - part 2

PARADISE for parrots and elusive KOLIBRI (continued, p.2) In the next barn lived mainly red ibises, and toucans. Ibises were a little smaller than I thought, but with much more vivid plumage. They were very similar to those of birds that can be seen in Egyptian hieroglyphics. At some point they all suddenly decided to break away from the place of the pool and ran to the railing walkway. Liz a little scared and even cry out in surprise, but it was a good shot. In the barn there were other birds, but I do not know what they are called. There was a hope to find their names in the Web encyclopedia, but, unfortunately, the internet connection here is not very good, so I'll try to do this when I get home. The only unknown to me the bird from the hen house, which I would like to mention, was a large, completely white bird, like a crane. This "Crane" was not in the spirit and walk in front of me so that I took his picture in all its glory, did not want to, though I patiently waited for this moment for some time. In the end, I took a picture of a bird in the supine position and went on. For those curious ibises poultry is a terrarium. Most of its inhabitants teeth pretty impressive size, and bite them decently, so that they all sit in closed enclosures. A striking example of "biting" reptile was a huge alligator, who basked in the sun! From that safe place where we stood, alligator seemed pretty boring. For a short time, about five minutes, during which we will be watching, he just opened his mouth slightly and blinked four times. I think that if I jumped down to him and be tickled his feet, it would have been much more fun. Only now I read somewhere that tickle alligators is not recommended. If you're not from Australia, of course. On turtles, snakes and iguanas look too interesting, but they were also not very mobile, so the terrarium we quickly left. Turtles Next we went to cells with very large birds of prey. First we saw a great harpy (large bird from the detachment of the hawk, approx. Perevi.), Which reaches a height of about 1,3 m. The harpy - a very powerful bird of prey. Photograph it was not easy, because she was sitting in the farthest corner of the cage in the shade, so even with his back to us. Maybe she was not in the spirit because the nursery is not tasty lambs and defenseless peasants. Harpy Next we looked at the king's neck. What is he amazing! I mean that it is the same as Fonzie (Arthur Fonzirelli, one of the most popular characters in the series "Happy Days", which aired from 1974 to 1984., Ca. Perevi.). He was like the turkey, if that failed to sign a recording contract with the studio, so this is not the usual dull gobble a turkey, but turkey is an important, well-dressed and ... cool. Vulture sat himself in a cell, cleaned feathers and clearly enjoyed awareness of self-importance, while I, like a real paparazzi photographed him from all sides. Perhaps, he thought to himself, why has not arrived journalists with MTV (the popular music channel, approx. Perevi.), To ask him a few questions about his new album and his recent appearance at a nightclub in the company of Paris Hilton. After the royal neck cells with cruise meat lovers have been waiting an aviary with rare and endangered parrots, which also were not in the house, and in the cells. There we saw a very friendly parrot, which is called the golden bird of paradise. " Well, or something like that. This is such a cute yellow, which was taken from traders at wet markets. They were kept there in miserable conditions and pulled out the feathers in males, so that they look younger. Now the birds do not get sick and even multiply. They were happy to see people, some of them even flew over to Liz, while I photographed them. Crowned crane Then we went to a place where there were cells with medium-sized parrots. They too are threatened with extinction. These parrots looked pretty sad, but in captivity they do multiply, so that's probably not all that they have and the bad. Liz noticed that one of the parrot is trying to remove the tab for himself with his feet and told him that he was sitting in a cage for his own safety. I tried to teach him one curse, which I usually uplifting, but it seems that it would require much more time than it was at my disposal. Start material: Completion of material:
