Grand Hamp and interesting people Zane Hopper, a photographer I went to the Andaman Islands and spent two hours at 5,650 rupees a local flight airline Kingfisher Air "reached the city of Chennai (until 1996 known as Madras, prim.perev.) . After 3 days I had to return by sea, but I wanted to leave the island quickly (after I spent a whole month) to begin the land portion of my trip to the mainland. At this time in Chennai, I stayed in the shelter of the Salvation Army. When I was in Mumbai, I stayed in the same orphanage, which is located in an area Kolaba, a famous place for all travelers. In Chennai, I was literally the only guest of the shelter, so dorm was given to me alone. I was a little uneasy: the building of the orphanage was pretty big and looked like an old hospital, like most buildings in Chennai, built during the British colonization. I am sure that the ghosts were there too ... However, this housing for 100 rupees (1.4 pound), why not? Although everything was in order, the next day I had to leave this place because of the invasion of mosquitoes. I do not want to take anti-malarial drugs, so I had to constantly keep in mind that the mosquitoes have not jammed too. Virupaksha Temple Prior to his departure for the Andaman Islands I spent a few days in Chennai, during which time to explore local attractions. So linger for a long time I did not want. After spending several hours on the internet trying to buy a train ticket to the village of Hampi, which is located in the north of Karnataka, I realized that nothing I have not come out. Tickets on Indian trains are best to buy for 3-4 days in advance. So I had to go to the bus station and buy tickets for a night bus to Bangalore (8 chasov/240 rupees) departing at 22.15. Before that I had a few more hours in Chennai, I got on the bus back in town and decided to go to the local cinema to the Indian film. The street was very hot, and nothing better than to go to the movies, I figured it out. Once I got to the point, I had a lot to run, because no one local had no idea where the movie theater. In the end, I managed to find it, and I watched the film, titled "Kartik Kartik calls. Despite the fact that the film was in Hindi, I managed to understand most of the text. On Indian film stars, of course, it was worth to admire, they're all so beautiful. In any case, the film helped me to spend several hours with the locals. Then I decided early to celebrate his birthday and went to a fast food restaurant in one of the hottest local shopping centers. I knew that on my birthday I'll be in Hampi, so I decided to arrange a special dinner, because I knew that in rural parts of India to me is unlikely to succeed. Overall it was a good day. After supper, I returned to the bus station and waited several hours for a bus in the company of homeless people and beggars, who settled for the night around me.
