My friend and I travel together ... on the green continent - Part 1

IN SEARCH OF THE SUN THROUGH ALL AUSTRALIA Nikki and Jade, students after six weeks we spent in southeast Asia, moving to the city of Cairns was a real shock for us: it was much colder, besides, everyone here said in plain language to us, and we could communicate freely with everyone with whom you want! Our first impressions of Cairns were very good, especially because the weather was just wonderful. Cairns - a small nice and quiet town, but the atmosphere is just wonderful! This is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef! We really helped staff the hotel where we stayed. They have helped us sign up for different tours and plan our trip. So after we spent half of the first day trying to recover from a night flight and time difference, we signed up for the tour to the Great Barrier Reef, which was to be held the next day. City of Cairns we spent the whole day on the boat. After much hesitation I decided to dive with an aqualung. This was what is called a "familiarization dive", this time the instructors are loaded with tourists and help them ... so that people could feel like this is all happening. In the end, I did two more dives, because I really had to do like: the amazing colors of corals and different fish - everything was just fine. In addition, we swam with reef sharks (never thought that I was on such a capable!) We went to Green Island, which was a small piece of land in the middle of the reef, and although the weather began to deteriorate even with dinner, but he looked just fabulous. And it's a cloudy day! The weather continued to deteriorate, and by the time I finished my second dive, already was rain. Contact boat trip was very difficult! If ever in my life have occurred minutes, when I began to think that a little bit more and I'll go to the bottom, it was just one of those moments. We are in a violent storm in the open sea in two hours from the land of the team ... I must say, copes with the situation and trying not to disturb anyone, sailors treated us with wine and cheese. I was very glad when we reached the port! That same evening we went on a picnic in the Australian style, who arranged for us to hotel. We were treated to kangaroo meat and crocodile, but also showed a fire show - the perfect introduction to Australia! Dive at the Great Barrier Reef the next day we decided to go hiking in the rainforest, which is located on Atherton, hoping that the weather is even slightly improve. We sat in the van with other tourists and a very funny tour guide and drove to the mountains. View from the window during the trip was great. By lunchtime, again zamorosil rain, but he could not stained our mindset - we both liked the route: hike to the two craters of the volcano, where you can swim and had to two waterfalls! One of the waterfalls, called Milla-Milla, was very well known - it is here that the singer Peter Andre was shooting video for his song "Mysterious Girl", and here was shot advertising a means of hair care products. So we did not miss the opportunity to make their own version! Nature throughout the day to surprise us with its beauty, especially the craters of volcanoes. I think I liked them the most. Imagine, there you can swim in a volcano! The next day, along with friends from our hotel, we went into town and nursery Kurranda koala bears. We decided that we can not leave Australia without seeing koalas and kangaroos. Kangaroos were very nice and friendly, they come very close, so that they can be ironed. I'm not talking about koalas - they're so fluffy! We also saw wallabies, snakes, spiders, lizards and many other representatives of wildlife in Australia. The day was just wonderful, although perhaps if we saw all these animals in the wild, our experience would be even brighter! Evening in Cairns we spent relaxing in a hotel room or taking in our favorite bar "Woolshed". There even could be free snacks!
