In Honduras and without tourists is not bad - part 3

Blonde, ride to and Waterfalls (continued, part 3) A few crazy drivers, however, a couple of days we have recaptured the hunt to catch the ride to. Do the drivers here are simply no sense of danger. Sense of responsibility they have, by the way, also. Surely, the bus driver is absolutely necessary to send a SMS to someone at the time, as he rushes down the mountain, or cut corners? He's just half an hour of crawling along the road, hoping to pick up a couple more passengers! Or maybe a father obliged to overtake a truck on a mountain slope, and yes even cornering, when sitting next to him all his family and three foreign tourists in the back of his pickup truck? Or maybe I'm too fussy? Lake Yoho We have witnessed several horrific accidents, and once even asked to stop and left the car because we were scared, and we literally were afraid to die, sitting in the open bed of a pickup. The reader may ask, why do we all enjoyed so creepy way to travel? The answer is simple. These pickups come across here very often, but their drivers do not hesitate to stop at a "voice". That's why had to risk one's health and compress your teeth, seeing how reckless driver risks his and your life. Apparently, all these stickers on buses and cars, which read "Jesus Christ - the Lord God" or "Jehovah - my shepherd," as something related to their careless and reckless manner of driving. However, the figures speak for themselves. In Honduras, two times higher mortality on the roads than, say, Germany with its autobahns, where there was no speed limit. Unimportant here you have about security, gentlemen! But as it turned out, ride to change in this country simply do not have, so we resumed our trip and were rewarded by the sea of ??impressions and a couple of situations, from which the heart is left in the heel. The best moment, of course, was a trip on a bus with a group of volunteers from the United States. The driver just picked us up, and after he took Americans to the venue of their 4-day event, it appeared that he was going exactly where we wanted. He even dropped us off near a hotel in downtown. Muchas Gracias, Alex! One of the little blondes Our last stop in Honduras was a place that our guidebook called one of the most striking sights of the country - a small colonial town of Gracias. Well, actually a special impression on us, he did not make. Ordinary small town, which had seen better days are, and, and that seems to exist now due to his past, attracting tourists, as there is a possibility. The nearby town of Santa Rosa, which is in the guide mentioned but not highlighted as a special, was much more interesting and picturesque. On the other hand, I did not go along with Christine and Tino to the local hot springs, because that day was not feeling very well. Perhaps it is this fact and made me change the opinion for the better. Remembering our last week in Honduras, I feel that I was not able to fully understand this country. During the time I was here, I read a blog, whose author was fascinated by this country, calling it the best in Central America. He stayed there for more than three months. Always interesting how different people perceive differently the same country. Frankly, it seems to me that the wild and the vast eastern part of the country in which there is a noteworthy national park of La Mosquito, hides a few interesting places for tourists who have available is a little more time than we have. As for our "team", then Christina two weeks escapes from the city of Managua, the capital of Nicaragua, so we need to hurry. Once I told you about my trip, I can conclude that the trip to Honduras I liked it, but I also should mention that, besides the islands Islas da la Bahia and the Mayan ruins in Copan, look here, in general something not on that. But the lack of tourists in most of the country makes the study of Honduras is the original adventure, leaving a lot of positive memories of encounters with very friendly locals and a wonderful trip hitchhiking.
