FOOT ON NORTH AMERICAN LANDSCAPE Hiking - one of my favorite hobbies, and I go for day trips whenever there is a possibility. In this collection I have included some pictures to show how good local places. National Park Michaks Pennsylvania VIEW FROM Tropez in the Appalachian Mountains National Park MICHAKS, HEIGHT about 1000 feet (about 333 meters), I visited the National Park Michaks a tourist group "Terrapin" in October 1996 in a two-day hike tent. Here, elegant wood, beautiful mountains. There is a park in southern Pennsylvania, near the border with Maryland and west of Gettysburg. These two photos were taken from a height of about 1000 feet, on top of the trails in the Appalachians. SUNSET IN THE NATIONAL PARK MICHAKS in the Valley These pictures were taken in the valley in the lower area of ??the park, not with any of the vertices, just after sunset. Shooting point is located near the place where we had a light picnic. National Park Shenando Virginia locations are absolutely gorgeous! Park begins with the northern part of Front Royal, Virginia, and ends near Charlottesville. You have driven a bus through the mountains of Blue Ridge, a distance of about 105 miles. Throughout the way, you get enormous pleasure from the opening of the mountains. Around the track you can think of hundreds of tourist routes on the reserved seats. Several friends of mine in HOUKSBILL, the highest point is Mount SHENANDO Houksbill, the highest point of the national park Shenando. In the photo I have some friends that I made in October 1996. The height is about 4,025 feet (about 1335 meters). The sun is quite low on the horizon, but the picture is not very well pronounced. October - the best season in Shenando when noticeably colder and the leaves are changing color. VIEW FROM THE MEN Stone Mountain Stony Mountain Man ("stone people") - the second highest mountain in Shenando, altitude about 4,010 feet (about 1,336 meters). It has two seats, offering good views of the beautiful cliffs, one of them at the top, the other slightly lower. LOWER OPEN MEN Stone Mountain defoliation TREES AT THE SUMMIT Stone Mountain OLD MAN MOUNTAIN REG, 3200 feet (1000 meters) Mount Old Reg ("Old Rag") - one of the most unusual of the mountains in the park Shenando. It has a very strange and unusual form, consists almost entirely of stones. Hiking to the mountain - quite a serious and risky, because you have to wade through the rubble and climb over the rocks to reach the summit. Great Lawn The photo shows a scenic meadow, which lies on top of the Blue Ridge Mountains, near the highway. Just like any other, this photo was taken in October, when plants and flowers in the meadow, almost all red. This gives the landscape a very original look. It is also very interesting to see this place with different distances. When you go out farther, prairie still think you are located as close, but it becomes a little smaller at the same time. However, if you choose to walk here from far away you will not notice because you get lost on this unusual red background. But you will be very comfortable in this quiet and beautiful retreat with nature. Gore Gore Masanatten Masanatten located in the western part of the valley Shenando, opposite the Blue Ridge (Blue Ridge). In these places, and was founded by the National Park Shenando. In the photo below you can see the valley Shenando intersecting it with a winding river of the same name. This photo was taken from a mountain near the town of Masanatten Lurey in Virginia. MOUNTAIN VALLEY SHENANDO Hazy ON THE BACKGROUND Tropez If you go hiking on trails mountain Masanatten winter, you can see a lot of interesting scenery. In this photo we shine in the eyes unnaturally harsh light of day, so the hills around us look bluish. Sunlight also illuminates the trail. And this is such a photo, except that the effects of unusual perspectives and lighting create the false impression that you look at the volcano with a large crater. At the end of this campaign, we found a good point for the review. Here again you can see the National Park Shenando. If you look closely, you can see that the top of the mountain slightly priporoshena snow. Mountain Park Ketoktin I'm on the Rock Chimney The photo shows yours truly in the background of rock Chimney (mantle rocks). So said one of the rock formations mountains Ketoktin. Ketoktin mountain park is situated in the northern part of central Maryland, and there is much that can be interesting to see, for example, the four rock formations and even a waterfall in the nearby National Park, Cunningham Falls. Also nearby is the lovely lake. It is also very close to Camp David, the presidential mountain residence. Me and my girlfriend Tanya climbs the rock Chimney When we clambered over rocks Chimney, we liked this occupation, it was fun and interesting. It shows I am with my girlfriend Tanya Voke from Germany, who studied here from late 1996 until spring 1997. AUTUMN COLORS IN THE PARK KETOKTIN Autumn - the best time to travel in the park Ketoktin, as indeed in other places. GOOD VIEW OF THE PARK BY THE ROCK Chimney Rock Wolf (wolf) - another interesting rock formation in the park, not far from the Chimney Rocks. View from Annapolis Rocks WULF ROCKS ROCKS Annapolis in light of sunset in Maryland on the Appalachian trail near Mersvilla, you can find one more beautiful rock formation - a rock Annapolis. By itself, the Appalachian Trail runs from the mountains Ketedin in Maine to Springer Mountain in Georgia. From this location clearly visible rock and its surroundings in the beautiful light of sunset. View of the mountain EDUCATION reduce this kind of rock from the bottom of Annapolis, so we can better imagine what they are huge. VALLEY in the evening light This view of the valley from the cliffs Annapolis, captured at sunset. TREES ON THE ROCK IN Annapolis backlighting Here are a few trees on top of the mountain formation, the sun-lit counter. Rocks and Lake At Sunset shot of rocks Annapolis - light evening sun illuminates the rock, as well as the lake and the sky over the precipice. Truncations Uevertona This is a great shot from the right bank of the Potomac River, which separates Maryland and Virginia. With breaks open Uevertona good views of the river, and looked very picturesque mountains on the other side. This photo was taken by Maryland, the other side - that's Virginia. OPEN Waverton Western Maryland in the western part of Maryland are no large cities here endless expanses, few local residents and tourists. An exception is the area around Lake Deep Creek («Deep Bay) in Garrett County. But even here you can stroll along the scenic and imagine that you are alone here.
