Belgrade by tequila - Part 3

SHAKESPEARE, BELT AND NEW FRIENDS (continued, part 3) we met near the cinema, and I for the first time after his arrival in Europe (and I am here more than two months) went to the movies. Despite the fact that a Hollywood movie was subtitled, I had a feeling that I returned to the States. When we went out, I initially could not understand where I am, but after a while, to my delight, I realized that I'm on the other end of the world. Then we went to a jazz bar called "Our bar". I liked it there, where we could talk and listen to music. I was introduced to her friend Helen, also named Helen. I think that half the residents of Serbian name is Elena. Remainder of the evening we spent in conversation on various topics. In the club the next day I went to Zemun. To get to the area of ??Belgrade, I had to cross the bridge and pass through New Belgrade. Zemun was fairly compact area which was once a separate city. Living in Zemun still consider him as such. On the banks of the Danube is a lot of restaurants. I visited one of them, called "Code of Captain. There, I tasted the best steak that I still managed a try in Europe. It was a thick piece of beef, Medium Rare. I afterwards learned that this usually means the meat is not cooked, because local residents often prefer well-done steaks. Fortunately, we managed to find a free table. Very soon, the club filled up, and around us is literally formed a crowd of people. The dancers showed their skills (and a lot more, ahem ...) on platforms above the bar. Electronic music bass literally shook the walls of the club. Even the mirror balls a little wiggle. It was pretty interesting, although to be honest, I did not notice much difference between this club and those institutions that I attended in the States. Danube poured I listened to the Board of Elena and on his last day in Belgrade went to the island of Ada. This is a small island, which lies on the river Sava. From one coast to the island of Sheba ran the dam, which formed the artificial lake. The shore of the lake were a pebble beaches, and on the island is a golf course, paintball, soccer field, basketball courts and more. I also saw signs that indicate that somewhere in the vicinity could jump into the water on an elastic tether. The lake water looked very clean compared to river water. However, due to the fact that it was cloudy and cool, bathing was not much. In the southern part of the lake I noticed an interesting structure for driving on the water board. Transporter goes up ten meters above the surface of the lake. I watched the way he dragged her rolling around on the track. Along the way came across smedchaku jumps and other obstacles. And you should not have any boats! Sava Lake Despite the fact that almost all the time while I was in Belgrade, was rain, the city seemed to me a very enjoyable and interesting. People here are very friendly, and nightlife is in full swing. Incidentally, it was the first city in which I confused with the locals. People came up to me and started talking with a characteristic intonation and great speed. It was quite clear - they were completely confident that I was born and raised in Serbia. Certainly in Belgrade, I was approached more often than all other European cities combined. Some of the approaches did not know English and were very upset. Others spoke in English and were happy to chat a bit. Eating in Belgrade is very good, except that here everything is very cheap. You can easily eat a half dollar, and a good dinner in good restaurant will cost you no more than $ 20. Many restaurants are very proud of its brand. Once I tried it, but I'm not a great connoisseur of the drink. Much more I liked it a local dark beer Jelen Tamno.
