Here you can chew on the whale's skin - Part 2

Frost and sun, BUT WHERE NORTHERN LIGHTS? (Continued, p.2) Back in town, we again went to the "Rowing Club for lunch, and there we were in for a special Greenlandic buffet. Cook covered three tables, only had about 50 dishes of traditional Greenlandic food. These included three meals of whale meat each, in addition, one serving of meat of reindeer and musk ox as well as large portions of shrimp. Whale meat was supplied as raw and in cooked (one of my favorite dishes), was also a raw whale skin, which can be chewed like gum. This proved to be most interesting. She has no taste, as such, but now I can easily tell that eating whale skin. Buffet was excellent, but I still had no appetite. Amazing Glacier After a long wait, we again did not see the northern lights, so the chef cooked us Greenlandic coffee, which created the effect of the Northern Lights. " This coffee is very similar to taste Irish, but the recipe requires at the very end of cooking over a fire to warm a little liquor. He glows blue when it is poured into a maelstrom of coffee. It was a good idea, but still thought that we still have not seen these lights aurora borealis, never left us. We wrapped and left outside in the hope of at least a glimpse of this northern magic, but all in vain. Whale meat on Thursday morning I started to erupt voice. On the day we are in no hurry, and used it to do our research and write the work "in Greenland during the transition period, and then in turn went on a trip to the snowcat (special snow grooming machine on caterpillar tracks, used for the preparation of the ski slopes, ca. Perevi.) with our guide Jens. At snowcat we got to places where sled dogs, and played a little with the puppies. They were so nice and friendly! We have also seen a lot of musk oxen, and a large number of caribou. On the way back Jens allow each of us to practice driving a snowcat. This evening, as in all others, we had a lecture by Prof. Henning and our other guides, Carson. We had dinner again in the Rowing Club, and this time we got to musk ox meat wrapped in bacon. Very tasty, although my appetite is still missing. That evening, I was really bad, and I went to sleep immediately after returning to the camp, while all the others were still standing on the street, trying to see the Northern Lights (again to no avail). I forgot to mention that the Greenland time lags from Copenhagen for 4 hours, which does not facilitate my healing process, as all the activities planned for two o'clock on Danish time (in Greenland is only ten in the evening). Snowcat On Friday morning we woke up early, went to the airport and handed over luggage, and then returned to the bus and went to the museum Kangerlussuaq to touch the city's history. His whole story was that first broke here a lot of planes, and then was finally built an airport, and then the air force the U.S. has taken this place for a long period of time. After seeing the exhibition, we boarded the plane, which took a course towards Europe. Once over the Atlantic Ocean, we decided to say goodbye and waved after Departuring Greenland. Sled dog trip was absolutely amazing. But there are a few things that were covered. How, for example, riding a dog sled, the season that opens in January alone. And also we would like to see the northern lights, which we did not actually see (and it's very very sad). I have to see it next time. I'd also like to have had more time to communicate with the natives. The town where we were, is not a true Greenland town, and therefore history as such he does not. Now I made it safely to his home in Copenhagen, where going to stay a couple of days, to recover (my voice back) before you fly to London on Monday in Amsterdam on Wednesday. Start material:
