Beaches, manatees and quiet marina - part 2

VIEW TO PUERTO RICO WITH BEAD yacht (continued, p.2) In order to go ashore, we had to enter into the old dock, which belonged to the Salinas Yacht Club. There is also a small hotel and a very nice cafe in the garden. Special attractions here, too, was not, except that the laundromat. Outside were three guys, bored and pochityvaya book. It turned out that of all the washing machines work, only one, and the guys very kindly loaded my clothes after washing your finished. While there was a process of washing, we went outside and decided to walk. Were around one-storey houses - some are plastered, others are painted - some of them are somewhat reminiscent of garden houses. Around several houses was low fence, and Christmas ornaments, which were visible here and there, looked dull and depressing. Chickens darted back and forth across the road and between the houses, one near the door of which stood a skinny horse. At a nearby cafe for plastic tables drinking a few people. We decided to drink a Coke, went into a cafe and met a French couple from Brittany. The cafe was the Internet, although its appearance about it was hard to guess. Yachts We are back in town the next day. During the walk we visited a small village, which was on the beach. The beach was not there, only a few mangroves and docks that have grown directly out of the water. We also saw a deli, a small supermarket on the muddy street, and several Spanish restaurants, where there was not even a menu. We returned to the yacht, and then I discovered I had lost the keys! My husband Alan has managed to open the door, climbed through the hatch, after which he returned to town to try to find a lost item. I searched every drawer in the hope of finding a spare key. Passed by some Englishmen, and I agreed to dine with them in any bar in the evening. Luckily, Alan found the key where I lost it, and we are in a good mood went to the meeting. For dinner, was selected one of the restaurants, who was in town. Here one does not say in English, and it seemed to me that our Spanish sounded to them are not very familiar. We somehow managed to order paella (Spanish rice dish, saffron-tinted, with the addition of olive oil, approx. Perevi.). It was very tasty, although it differs from what we had to try in Spain. Here it was applied to the sauce with fried bananas and a very tasty salad. Also brought us a lot of shrimp, squid, clams and fish, and then the sausage and beans. Quite original and not expensive. Berth The next day we were engaged in a yacht, and then went on a small boat on a walk to watch the birds, manatees and fish. During the walk we met a family that afternoon was going to go fishing in a small bay. In some places there was very small, everywhere there were herons, some birds that look like eagles, tons of tree frogs and even some colorful birds, whose names are, understandably, I do not know. After we got into a bar one friend Alan, whom he met in Culebra. Then we waited for dinner at the marina. Yes, we tasted the chicken, stuffed with bananas. Speed ??limiter Once mosquitoes devoured us alive, we decided that we will have enough, and five in the morning the next day left for Palmas del Mar. There we rented a car, met a nice Canadians, drank with them and went to Ponce, the city where there is a very pleasant Square - and nothing more. Back on shore, we had a bite some chicken pieces per skewer and roasted bananas. Next we went on a boat on one of the roads so-called Ruta Paranomika (a system of roads, crossing to Puerto Rico from east to west, approx. Perevi.), Which passes through the beautiful mountains and forests. But we're so tired order permanently lost on the road, turn around, try asking for directions from local, which, as luck would have scribbling in Spanish, like a machine gun, fish for information from the drunken peasants, to look at the setting sun and realize that to overcome another 20 km, which separate us from the boat, we will take another hour or so. The picturesque island in Ponce, we drove in circles for a long time, trying to get out of town, until finally, some kind soul did not go ahead, showing us the way north to the need for us to track. Can you imagine what was going on with us in this car! We were glad to get home and finally relax. However, in the end, when we left the car in the parking lot and in poor spirits walk back to the yacht, one of the local officials drove us in his golf quads. It is very pleasant and courteous staff. Start material: See also: Parrots, underground lakes, manatees and ubiquitous carnival
