STORY INTERRUPTED JOURNEY (continued, part 3) In Leon, we arrived in the afternoon on September 16. We had to change trains to get here. In addition, we felt no better, because that day we ate very little. In general, we decided to have a meal somewhere, and at the same time to see the city. However, only an hour later Tracy decided that it is best to lie down because she still was not feeling very well. By early evening we both felt awful, and so I just went to sleep, not even dinner. The cathedral in Leon The next morning we were still ill at ease. We've got a high temperature around 40 degrees, a headache, it was painful to move the eyes, aching muscles of the legs and back, and completely absent appetite. It is obvious that we both had the same illness, which lasted for three days. At some point in our 5-day stay in Leon, we thought our last hour had come. It was the third time in the past few months, when we have cases, problems with health. We have had diarrhea in Peru and Bolivia, in Argentina, I broke my arm, and in Cambodia in Tracy was dysentery. I decided that in third world countries we'd better do not go, the more so to Honduras, Guatemala and Belize, where you can catch malaria, we have not reached yet. Church of La Merced I have decided that a hospital in Nicaragua, there is no point contact (ironically, this was not the best decision of my life), and that we have with Tracy is best to visit the medical facility where medical care is considered one of the best in a world that is in the States. At least I think so. We bought plane tickets and September 21, flew to Phoenix, Arizona. Tracy felt just disgusting, I still have something to hold on. The temperature in our sleep, but there was some sort of rash. Small baseball Unfortunately, we could not see Leon as well as for all time in this city, we never left the hotel. Only on the penultimate day I feel a little better, went to shop for food and drinks and on the road took a few pictures of churches and buildings of Leon. Very sorry that this happened, because that Leon appeared to me a very beautiful city. More we upset that we got to the volcano Pacaya in Guatemala and the islands Islas de la Bahia in Honduras, as well as the ruins of Mayan cities in Guatemala and Belize. But health first and foremost, and we only need to record these places in a plan to visit during our future travels. Monkey As it turned out, our departure was not such a bad idea, because on September 21 in Honduras broke tropical storm, which hit the islands Islas de la Bahia, just at a time when we were supposed to be there. In Guatemala, at the same time began heavy rains that caused severe landslides, and with our luck we would have just hit the very center of events. In general, I thought we had malaria from mosquito bites in the national park Rincon de la Vieja Costa Rica. Tracy thought it was some sort of virus, but in the end it turned out that we had dengue fever (a viral disease borne by mosquitoes are, approx. Perevi.), From which there is no vaccine, and she just needed to recover. Of course, we did not know this, but it turned out that dengue fever in Costa Rica, something common, and of course, we picked up her still in Rincon de la Vieja, since symptoms are usually on the sixth day. We have happened. Whatever it was, it has been two weeks. We are now in the States, fully recovered and ready for future adventures. Start material:
