Invented by the U.S.

What an idea the U.S. - TRAVEL TO SVERHREALNOST Claire Williams One of the reasons I so worried about America was that in my third year studying English, I read the works of such theorists as Jane Bodrillard. (Jean Bodrillard, 1929-2007 - French sociologist, philosopher, cultural studies, political scientist and photographer, his work often associated with postmodernism, prim.perev.) Postmodern theorists describe America as "sverhrealnost, where it is impossible to distinguish reality from fiction. After staying in the U.S. for three weeks, I visited six locations, including Orlando, Florida and Las Vegas, and these three points of my program allowed me to see the real sverhrealnost. I do not believe that the desire to move away from reality is reprehensible. In these places, I was able to distinguish sleep from waking, like most people, I hope! But it is surprising that the Americans constantly need to simulate reality, and so she became a country of dreams. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, America has declared itself in film and media, as a young, naive, full of ambitions and hopes the country. Complete nonsense, many would say. It is a country where one can live like a fairy tale, and be what you want. America - the birthplace of man-made wonders, such as Disney World, Universal Studios and Las Vegas. You can try and see the embodiment of fantasy films, and other countries. America is rich enough to spare no money for these fakes. Orlando, land of the sun "in Florida - the birthplace of many theme parks and a wonderful place to spend a family weekend. Bodrillard talking about Disneyland: "The Fantasy of Disneyland - not the truth and not fiction: a mechanism of intimidation, invented to recreate the fiction of reality." Bodrillard argues that Disney Land was created to remind people that the external world is real. And it is precisely for this purpose it was made as a fantasy. Universal Studios produces a strange impression, trying to show San Francisco, Hollywood and New York as the ideals of the movie. So people imagine America, and the simulation takes place over and over again until it becomes almost real, or "sverhrealnoy. Las Vegas - it's the endless lights of the casino case, contending among themselves. There is Paris, New York, Ancient Rome, Egypt, Venice. Las Vegas, it seems, strives to be a simulation of the whole world, and Universal Studios - a simulation of America. This is a huge area, which has everything you need. Avenues, artificial sky, restaurants, retail units (and in fact someone on their very well earned!), Hotel rooms and much more! Casino equipped with blind exits, and you can not so easy to get out of this little fake world. Just like in the famous songs of "The Eagles'" Hotel California ", in which the hotel stands a beautiful and serene life, it is easy to enter, but it is very difficult to get out. To a tee in this scenario is tailored Vegas. Both the city and its casinos are a perfect example of how postmodern architecture can mislead us. Each casino - it is a maze. Outputs not marked, but if you ask how to get out, then you even more misled. You will always offer "free" show, food, drink and entrance to the club, carefully distancing you from going! Thinking about all this before my trip to America, I was preparing for a meeting with sverhrealnostyu. But despite the seriousness of these theories, I take maze of buildings and hyperreality Universal Studios with humor. Of course, I can see how America can be a fake, especially through the media, but when I was in the "real world", I knew it was him! New York was quite a "real" with his cityscapes, crowds and dirty streets. Nothing is perfect. Las Vegas was also the unvarnished, full of people who look like they are "real" and the poor.
